Rules

Noted.do is a free place to publish writing from Standard Notes. Keep it that way by following these rules. Accounts that break them are suspended and their posts removed, usually without warning.

Don’t post

• Anything illegal where you or this server are, including content that sexualizes minors, which is reported to the authorities.
• Other people’s private information, or pictures of people shared without their consent.
• Threats, harassment, or content that attacks people for who they are.
• Spam, advertising-only posts, link farms, or search-engine manipulation.
• Malware, phishing, scams, or links to them.
• Work you don’t have the right to share. Rights holders can ask for removal at admin@noted.do.

Good to know

• Your notes stay encrypted in Standard Notes. Only notes you publish are sent here, and published posts are public.
• Your API token and recovery code are the only way into your account. Keep them private. Nobody here can recover an account without them.
• Pictures you upload are public. Location and camera details are removed from photos.
• You can unpublish posts or delete your whole account at any time from your account page.
• The service is provided as-is, with no guarantee of uptime or that posts are kept forever. Keep your own copies.
• These rules may change. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
